CUAA is teaming up with Give 365, an Ann Arbor city-sponsored volunteer initiative, to provide hands and hearts in service to our local community. You are invited to bring your family and come out in your best red, white and black colors to join in fellowship as we make a difference in this neighboring park.
Red Fish, Blue Fish: Teach Kids to Fish Event at Gallup Park
10 Volunteers Needed: Join us at Gallup Park to teach children how to fish during Free Fishing Weekend for Michigan. Duties include helping kids set up fishing poles, worming hooks and releasing fish that are caught.
Give 365 Ann Arbor Park Beautification Volunteer Event at Gallup Park
15 – 20 Volunteers Needed: Lend a hand to help beautify and clean up a park that needs a little love and attention while helping to support Ann Arbor park maintenance and beautification efforts. Ann Arbor’s Give 365 program provides the tools; you bring the energy and desire to make a difference. Bring your own work gloves and wear comfortable, casual clothing.
After the volunteer work is done, drive back to campus and join us on the Riverside Patio for lunch and outdoor worship with Campus Ministry Director, Rev. Randy Duncan. We’ll combine praise and pizza for a perfect picnic!
Volunteer waivers are required and can be signed at the location on the day of the event. All ages welcome (supervision needed for young children). Co-leaders for this event are CUAA alumna Melisa Cameron (’85), Regional Lead, Community Engagement for AT&T, and Laura Thomas, Director of Donor and Alumni Relations at CUAA.
