Registration will be on a first come basis, and only those completing/submitting their tour access paperwork will be approved. MMPA cautions registrants not to make airfare arrangements until they have been approved for the tour after submitting their reciprocal access agreements and registration paperwork.

Transportation: The MMPA does not supply transportation to/from optional activity events such as golfing, sporting clays or the Sierra Pacific Industries tours and Open House event.
Hotel Reservation Redding/Anderson Area: The MMPA does not reserve rooms on behalf of the attendees. You much secure your own hotel reservations in Redding or Anderson, CA.

David received his BA from Washington State University in International Business in 1993.
During and after he received his undergraduate degree from Washington State University, David studied, lived and worked in Japan for three years learning the language and culture.
After returning to the US, he received his MBA from Oregon State University focusing on International Marketing.
From January 1997 until June 2016, David was a shareholder and Director of Vanport International, an Oregon based international forest products company. During his 20 years at Vanport, David has traveled to more than three dozen countries worldwide developing new supply, markets and products. He has taught classes at the NAWLA Wood Basics Course as well as classes at Oregon State University College of Forestry.
In 2016, David left Vanport to pursue a career at the largest buyer of wood products in North America, Universal Forest Products.
Innovation and new product and market development has always been David’s main focus in the wood products business. Utilizing his contacts and knowledge of global wood products trends, David has the ability to connect the dots and put the right supply in front of the right demand.
As the International Development Specialist at UFP International, David continues to travel the world and utilize his contacts and experience to grow UFP’s international presence in terms of supply, customers as well as expanding UFP’s international plant locations. The company currently has 120 plant locations on 5 continents specializing in construction, retail, industrial and distribution. UFP currently buys from 31 countries and sells into 63 countries.

Registration Rules & Regulations - Attendees and Exhibit Partners are required to read, complete and sign enclosed event registration form before submitting to the MMPA. Payment must be received within 14 days of submitting registration to attend and/or exhibit. MMPA reserves the right to resell any tabletop/exhibit space not paid for in the requested time frame. No tabletop/exhibit space may be cancelled without notification to MMPA. Cancellation must be made in writing to the MMPA by July 26, 2015. A 50% refund will be issued for registration and/or exhibit space. No refunds will be issued for registration and/or exhibit space as of July 28, 2017. The deadline to register as an EARLY attendee and/or exhibitor is July 12, 2017. Any refunds will be issued for registration and/or exhibit space beginning as of August 11, 2017.
Tabletop Specifications - Includes one 18” round table, two chairs and company signage. Exhibit personnel will be limited to two representatives per exhibit space. Any additional personnel above the allotted amount will require additional exhibit space. Promotional materials may include product hand samples, brochures, business cards, etc. Pop-up displays, banners, or working equipment will be permitted on tabletops or just behind the table with a width limit up to 36” and height limit at 6’ 5”. Electricity will not be provided by the hotel or event coordinator. WiFi is not offered by the hotel or event coordinator. Shipment of display materials may be coordinated directly with The Holiday Inn Sacramento Downtown Arena. The shipper is responsible for all incurred costs and ensuring receipt of materials. Facility Regulations - In the event that any exhibitor damages the Holiday Inn Sacramento Downtown - Arena's furniture, fixtures, building or equipment, including damage caused by installation, presence and/or removal of exhibits and exhibit’s materials, the exhibitor shall be responsible for reimbursing the Holiday Inn Sacramento Downtown - Arena for the cost of such repair or replacement as may be necessary. Nothing shall be posted on, nailed, screwed or otherwise attached to walls, floor or other parts of the building or furniture. Distribution of gummed stickers or labels is strictly prohibited. No balloons. Anything in connection therewith necessary or proper for the protection of the building, furnishing or equipment will be at the expense of the exhibitor.
Non-Liability - It is expressly understood and agreed by each and every contracting exhibitor and its representatives that the MMPA and Holiday Inn Sacramento Downtown - Arena and officers, employees or agents of each shall not be liable for the loss or damage to the goods or properties of the exhibitors. At all times such goods or properties remain in the sole possession and custody of each exhibitor. Each exhibitor agrees, by signing this agreement, to indemnify and hold harmless the MMPA and Holiday Inn Sacramento Downtown - Arena, including officers, directors, employees and agents of each, from and against any actions, liabilities, losses, costs, damages, claims and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) from loss or damages to the property or bodily injury to all individuals including; customers, potential customers, the exhibitor, its agents, representatives or employees; or for copyright or trademark infringement, arising out of the exhibitor’s occupancy or use of the exhibitor facilities, regardless of the negligence of the MMPA or the Holiday Inn Sacramento Downtown - Arena.
Participation, Hotel Reservation, and Cancellation Policies
Limited Event — Caution!
DO NOT BOOK AIRFARE OR RESERVE HOTEL ROOM TO ATTEND THE INDUSTRY-WIDE MOULDING & MILLWORK EVENT/PLANT TOURS UNTIL YOU KNOW YOU HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED TO THE PROGRAM. MMPA Staff will contact you once your registration has been processed and accepted. Disruption to the plants on the tour shall be kept to a minimum by limiting the number of registrants participating in the program.
Reciprocal Access Agreement Must Be on File!
If a signed reciprocal access tour agreement is not on file with MMPA by the end of day, Sunday, September 10, 2017, attendee will be denied plant tour access. All attendees must read, sign and return the entire suite of registration forms. Hotel Cancellation Policy
All hotel deposits are refundable if cancellation is received by the hotel prior to August 25, 2017. After August 25, 2017, please note the following:
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you do not book your room within the MMPA’s room block at the Holiday Inn Sacramento Downtown Arena you will be charged additional fees for registration. Attendees who make outside hotel reservations other than within the MMPA’s official hotel room block at Holiday Inn Sacramento Downtown Arena will be charged for meeting space, hotel staff set-up, and audio visual fees in the amount of $169.00 per person for EARLY registration / $248.00 per person after July 13, 2017. Those attendees who book outside of the official room block using package deals (even package deals with the Holiday Inn Sacramento Downtown Arena) will be subject to the meeting space, hotel staff set-up and audio visual fee. No exceptions.

Registration Cancellation Policy
MMPA regrets any inconvenience associated with these policies which is now industry standard in the meetings/events industry. Last minute guestroom and participation cancellations leave MMPA exposed to large contractual commitments with no opportunity to resell the guestrooms or attract new participants. Careful planning will alleviate any financial exposure for the individual and the association.
