July ORA Quarterly Combines Information, Celebration and Special Guests

The Quarterly kicks off on Wednesday, July 12th with a Joint Cadre where the Executive and Northern/Southern Managers Cadres meet to share innovative ideas and the network. We’ve added something new this time - a New Leadership Social scheduled during our regular Social/Networking time on Wednesday evening. We wanted to give the new ORA leaders time to meet with veteran members to better understand how their membership can be a resource to them. More details on that to come. The Leadership Social and Member Networking in the Fireside Lounge are sponsored by ORA Corporate Member, 501(c) Agencies Trust – Thank you!
Thursday’s schedule is packed with information and updates you need. The ORA Business Meeting and Legislative Updates will get you up to date on ORA financials, where we landed after legislative session and what to expect in the interim session. Thursday highlights also include:
  • Dian “Dee” Rubanoff of Peck, Rubanoff & Hatfield
  • Dee specializes in representing management in labor and employment law at Peck Rubanoff & Hatfield. Assisting employers to resolve problems in the workplace is more than just a career focus for Dee, it is a passion. She will share her insights on, Union Awareness and Maintaining a Positive Work Environment.
  • Direct Care Innovations (DCI)
  • Direct Care Innovations is a healthcare technology company that creates business management platforms for providers and agencies in the Medicaid, Medicare and Managed care markets. DCI is a new corporate member of ORA and will be joined in their presentation by Mindi Mitchell, Vice President of Operations for Rise Services, Inc. and sits on the ORA Board of Directors.
  • Joe Macbeth - Executive Director, NADSP
  • Joe will be sharing tales from the road, new NADSP initiatives in support of DSPs and the NADSP’s collaboration on recommendations to the President’s Committee on Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities.
  • 50th Anniversary Celebration Opening Keynote with Lou Radja — Speaker. Author. Coach.
  • As an International Speaker, Lou Radja’s mission is to uplift, educate and inspire his audience to live up to their greatness. Lou has motivated and challenged audiences worldwide to shake off disempowering beliefs and live up to their full human potential. Living by the global metaphor that “life’s a gift”, Lou’s powerful message is built on gratitude.
We’ve invited many past and present friends of ORA to join us for an evening of food, music and memories about what ORA has achieved and what is yet to come as well as special awards. You don’t want to miss it!
Friday’s agenda wraps it up with a conversation with Darlene O’Keefe, ODDS Quality Improvement Manager for ODDS and an update on what’s new regarding ORA’s Quality Initiative (OQI).
We are very grateful to our sponsors for making this 50th Anniversary Celebration special to keep the cost of attendance to members and guest minimal. We could not do this without them.

If you register for the full July Quarterly Membership Meeting,
you will automatically be registered to attend the ORA 50th Anniversary Celebation.
