Felted Vessels - 3D Wet Felting with Leslie Granbeck 

 

 

 

Learn the fascinating art of seamless 3-D wet felting. Using wool and a variety of other natural fibers, felt a small vessel to hold trinkets, chocolates or to simply brighten up any shelf. Choose bright or natural colors, then “sculpt” your vessel into any shape from organic to contemporary. You can even make it reversible. We’ll be working with water, so dress for mess!

Bring from home:

2 old hand towels

Sharp scissors

Plastic bag to carry home wet items

Optional: apron (waterproof or cloth)

Purchase at StevenBe prior to class:

2 or more ounces of merino roving (hand dyed is fine)
Embellishments: silk hankie, silk sari threads, bamboo or silk roving, curly locks, etc.

Optional: Olive oil soap

Class fee: $78

NOTE: We will supply felting kits for students included in your class fee. Kit includes 16-inch wide bubble wrap, rolling tube & ties, mosquito netting, pattern/resist material, soap.
