High School Classroom Mini-Economy (7/19/17)

The presentation will take the elementary and middle-school concept of classroom economy and apply it to the high school level across all grades and academic levels. The mini-economy is not a project but a dynamic and on-going part of the classroom and classroom culture.

Topics include: How to incoporate curriculum content and skills, NYS regents content, and how to integrate the New York State Social Studies Standards in the mini-economy.; help develop understandings in personal finance and economic systems; concepts such as financial literacy, job specialization, the fundamental economics questions, banking systems, stock market, accounting, differences between economic systems as well as various math skills.
