 RAD & LIHTC Session Overview

Many housing authorities struggle to find the funds necessary to maintain, much less improve, their public housing portfolios. Uncertainty in Washington D.C. has only added to the struggle. HUD's Rental Assistance Demonstration Program (RAD) gives PHAs an opportunity to leverage their capital and operating funds from HUD to make necessary repairs, as well we lock into a more consistent funding stream. The session will focus on combining RAD with low-income housing tax credits (LIHTC) and provide view points from an ED who converted his entire portfolio with RAD as well as a developer, construction firm, and attorney who have all worked on many RAD transactions.
