Sunset Seascape Painting with Megan Euell

August 16th, 17th, 18th | 4:30pm - 7:30pm

The constantly changing atmospheric environmental conditions , provide an excellent challenge and Megan will guide each student through keeping the spontaneity and freshness of immediate observation in the painting, while being organized and deliberate in their work.  She has mastered this art.  A color study will be done the first day, as sketches allow painters to improve the overall design of a painting and quickly capture color notes in the landscape. The second and third day will focus on one painting with instruction on plein air essentials: painting direct sunlight versus overcast light, the clouds, the constant motion of the ocean and how to capture the movement and light effects of breaking waves.
