Children's Science Center Design Workshops 

The Children’s Science Center needs the community’s input as we enter the next phase of planning for our future, full-scale science center in Dulles, Virginia. The entire community, including parents, children, teens, educators, and community leaders, is invited to participate in one of our workshops where you will hear about our plans for the new museum and participate in an interactive workshop to help create the museum’s exhibits and experiences. 

We will generate ideas for individual features as well as overall themes and subjects that are most attractive for our community’s families and future visitors. Everyone’s feedback will be welcome and encouraged. You don't need specific skills or backgrounds to participate! We would like broad representation from the community as we create this essential community resource together. 

Concurrent Workshops for Adults and Kids!
We will have concurrent workshops for adults and children. Children will participate in a special Kids Design Workshop at the same time as the adult workshop. Following our “For Kids, By Kids” design philosophy, they will invent their own exhibit concepts. 

This is not a drop-off event for children. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Children of all ages are welcome, including middle school and even high school students! This event is best for children in first grade and above.
