Nalbinding Open Workshop With Angela Robins
Come and refine your nålbinding skills in this open workshop class! Students are invited to choose from a variety of projects, including the option to design their own. Project options include hats, mittens, socks and small bags. As an ancient fiber art, nålbinding lends itself to pattern-less 'free-styling'. So leave your needle gauges and perfectionist tendencies at home - it's time to let go and get knotty.
Materials:
--Students should bring at least 1 skein of single-ply wool yarn, or purchase one at StevenBe upon discussing their project with the instructor.
--options include:
Kureyon, Kureopatora & Hakone by Noro
Lamb's Pride Bulky or Worsted
Alafoss Lopi or Lett Lopi
*Handmade nalbinding needles will be available for purchase from the instructor for $10
Prerequisites:
Students should be familiar with the Oslo stitch.
This is a two-part workshop. The first part is Sunday, June 4th from 11am through 3:30pm. The follow-up session is Thursday, June 8th from 5:30 through 7:30pm.
