Fred has spent the last 37 years with a front row seat to see firsthand the challenges facing today's retirees. He and his team of Retirement Income Option Specialists have been helping retirees get the most from the registered and non-registered retirement savings. One of Canada’s top Retirement Income Option Specialists, Fred has been a frequent guest of 580 CFRA’s “Experts On Call”, he co-hosted the “Winning Retirement Strategies” show on Oldies 1310, and created and provided expert advice on the “Focus On Retirement” television series. Fred has appeared on CTV’s National News, locally on CHRO TV, the Rutherford Show, CTV Ottawa News at Noon, CTV Ottawa Evening News, CFRA Business at Night and Ottawa Citizen Business TV with Janet Eastman. The Ottawa Citizen, MacLean's Magazine and the National Review of Medicine have quoted Fred in articles pertaining to Retirement Income Planning.

Timothy J. Thomas

A partner at Perley-Robertson, Hill & McDougall, Timothy Thomas’ practice centres on negotiation and preparation of financing documentation - for financial institutions and borrowers, leasing matters, and commercial real estate development, including the sale, purchase and financing of commercial, industrial and residential properties. He advises clients on business transactions, including sales acquisitions and financing. Tim’s judgment and tact have allowed him to serve clients’ regarding their personal legal needs for over twenty years, including wills, powers of attorney, and estate planning and administration.

Financial transactions are complex, requiring not only a comprehensive understanding of relevant laws and regulations, but a continuing study of the ever-changing business environment. Small details, including timing, have significant long-term implications. The ability to act quickly and prudently is immensely valuable; Tim offers that efficiency and direction to his clients. Recognized by his peers for his leadership and business acumen, in 1996 Tim was named Managing Partner for the firm, a position he held until 1999.
