Studio of Dorothy Stites Alig 

Built in 1915, this building served as a telephone switching station to the Meridian-Kessler neighborhood. Our hosts Dennis Benge and Tony Davey purchased the building in 2013 and began renovation, making the third floor their residence. The original paneling, beamed ceiling and fireplace dictated the apartment’s design. Local artist Dorothy Stites Alig moved her painting and printmaking studio from Broad Ripple to the second floor in 2016. In addition to viewing Dorothy’s finished and in-progress works, you’ll see Dennis and Tony’s art collection of local artists.
