Meet and greet with Core Focus director CJ Richardson. Learn about Core Focus 4 1/2 year journey. Short tour of Core Focus' facility including Schnellecke's training academy. We will also be joined by Gilberto Herrera that will talk about how to do personal branding on social media. Followed by networking, wine/beer and food.
4 1/2 years ago, Core Focus was created by a couple of Millennials working in the Mercedes automotive supplier network. When they started Core Focus, they had the vision to not fit the mold of "staffing agency" that all had come to be accustomed to using. From the beginning they thought that it should be part of the hiring process to validate a candidates skills prior to coming to the shop floor. Their slogan for this method became, "eliminate the resume operator." Core Focus have worked diligently to overcome the stigma of their industry and have begun to show their customers they should expect more than a company that can just fill positions.
Core Focus have come a long way from "vision to reality." Today they occupy a 50,000 sq ft. warehouse minutes from the Mercedes plant area. They conduct Forklift Certification and warehouse sequence training, for their customers they serve, with much room to grow.
Gilberto Herrera is a business consultant with 9 years of sales and marketing experience and is responsible for setting businesses up for success by helping increase sales and revenue as well as increasing their brand awareness. He currently works with companies of all sizes creating advertising and lead generation strategies for them in all areas including social media and all digital platforms.

The Young Professionals group is under the AlabamaGermany Partnership umbrella. Its members are interns, co-op or employees of either an Alabama-Germany company or institution. The age requirement is 21 to 39. This also includes college students, grad students studying German language, international business, science and engineering. The group will promote international education, individual career development and promotion of Alabama-German companies and workforce development.
