The Use of Subsidiary Models for the Delivery of Pharmacy Services

About the Seminar

This training session is hosted by the East of England NHS Collaborative Procurement Hub and will be led by leading legal firm DAC Beachcroft.  It is free to EOECPH NHS Pharmacy Members who work in any area of Pharmacy, Procurement or related fields.

The seminar will examine the case for outsourcing pharmacy services, including the following issues:

  • outsourcing to a third party vs wholly owned subsidiary model
  • procurement implications
  • workforce implications
  • commercial drivers; increased efficiency, tax treatment, workforce flexibilities
  • generating additional income from new customers
  • Regulatory issues
  • Governance and the ongoing relationship between the subsidiary and the owning Trust

The session will follow the approximate times below:

9.30am - registration and tea / coffee

10am - Training starts (Short midway break around 11.15am)

12.30pm - Training ends with a sandwich lunch.

(Lunch will be shared with attendees from the afternoon legal training session on subsidiary models in another NHS sector. )


This event is currently only open to Hub Pharmacy members in the East of England. There may be an opportunity for non-member NHS Trusts to register nearer the time if we still have spaces available.
