Web Literacy Pilot Training

]OregonASK will be starting a year long Mozilla Web Literacy pilot this August. The pilot will consist of three trainings, one at the beginning of each session from August 2017 to March 2018. Each training will go over new web literacy content for upper elementary and middle school aged youth. Participants will also learn best practices for teaching STEM and Computer Science. Please register to participate in this set of trainings, which will also include webinar refresher training and coaching throughout the year.

All trainings will take place at
9140 SW Pioneer Ct.
Wilsonville OR, 97070

The content covered in training will include the 21st Century Skills outlined by Mozilla, in order to help equip all students with the necessary skills to navigate in the workforce and our society at large. We will use
Mozilla's Web Literacy Map, the lessons and activities, both hands-on and unplugged, that mozilla has available for youth 4th-8th grade. These cover learning about the way the internet works, how to code, research, share, and design content for the web using Mozilla Tools.
Please register to participate in this cohort that starts with the first training on
Friday, August 11th 9am -1pm
with subsequent trainings on
November 11, 2017 9am-1pm
March 9, 2018  9am-1pm

You will also learn how to become a Mozilla Web Club, sharing lessons and activities you create with other clubs all over the world!
