This one day workshop on making net poems will be something no textile artist wants to miss! Bonnie the instructor, is a Textile Artist, Alaskan Artist-in-Schools, and former professional net mender who has taught nationally. She uses these net techniques to create stunning textile and trinket collages.
Learn some of the intricacies of net making as well as how to combine treasured collected heirlooms and souvenirs into your work. Bonnie is a true master of her craft and will have much wisdom and skill to impart on her workshop participants.
Fee: $100+$15 materials fee
Materials: net cordage and tools will be included in the materials fee, you will need to bring trinkets and baubles you hope to include in your net poem. These items should have holes already drilled in them and can include coins, shells, buttons, stones, notes, earrings, jewels, gems, anything small and significant to you.
Meeting: Sunday June 11 10am-5pm with a pot luck lunch from 1-2pm please indicate in the registration what type of dish you are willing to bring or if you have any food allergies.
