Managing Interpersonal Dynamics - St. Augustine (11/09/17)

Dealing with people, internally and externally, can be both rewarding and challenging.  Everyone brings their own communication styles, backgrounds, personalities, and approaches to interactions with others.  At times, breakdowns in communication can occur. With better understanding and management of interpersonal dynamics, constructive outcomes can be achieved.

Learning Objectives:

This workshop provides an introduction and concepts basic to communicating effectively in various situations.  You will learn how to determine if a person's behavior is truly difficult or if miscommunication is causing the frustration.  In addition, you will learn how to manage your emotions and adjust your approach to effect better relationships.  Through interactive case studies and exercises, you will practice how to use different ways to communicate assertively and gain cooperation in trying situations.  You will leave with greater self-focus in handling interactions with others.  As a result, you will be able to maintain control and keep issues and people from having a negative effect on you.
