About the Healing Justice Alliance
The Healing Justice Alliance’s (HJA) is a collaboration of Youth ALIVE!, Cure Violence, Berkeley Media Studies Group, and the National Network of Hospital-based Violence Intervention Programs. HJA’s overall goal is to create equal access to culturally responsive victim services for male survivors of violence, with a focus on men of color. To achieve this goal, HJA seeks to provide a full range of data-driven training and technical assistance resources, including a vibrant peer learning community. HJA is helping the Office of Victims of Crime (OVC) and the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) catalyze a national commitment to better serve men of color by supporting sites that demonstrate effective evidence-based models and promoting collaborative learning across like-minded communities.
