Dealing with Difficult Behaviors 

Presenter: Debbie Brent, Professional Development Specialist with 20 years experience in regular, special and alternative education classrooms.

You have built relationships with your students, established rules and routines, recognized positive behavior, and utilized consequences. However, there are still some students who struggle and disrupt learning, keeping them from succeeding in school.

Participants will:

  • gain an understanding/working knowledge or the drivers of behavior
  • increase their repetoire of strategies/skill set for managing difficult behaviors
  • expand partnerships with parents to affirm expectations and approaches
  • develop an action plan to address difficult behaviors in the classroom
