Teacher Language is the root for growing positive teacher-child relationships and encouraging a productive classroom in which children learn and thrive. Teacher Language can provoke thinking and reflection, build child vocabulary and encourage a child to make good choices. This workshop will integrate recent research findings into an interactive discussion about Teacher Language.

During this workshop we will create a shared understanding of what curriculum looks like in the early childhood setting. Then, we will explore developmentally-appropriate and hands-on learning experiences connected to the topics of the curriculum. Finally, we will integrate benchmarks into those learning experiences to help us identify what we want children to understand.
