"SC 13.1 - The Right to Vary"

For Project works, is an Employer's/Engineer's Prerogative under FIDIC Red and Yellow Books

3FOLD Education Centre is proud to announce and organize a knowledge sharing event for management professionals in Abu Dhabi, UAE on Monday, June 12th, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

This unique, unilateral and allowable contract action (right) under FIDIC rules - whereby the principal Engineer appointed by the Employer may nearly instantaneously - change the design of a construction effort wherever and whenever he deems necessary - and which may or may not benefit the Main Contractor or his Sub-Contractors, shall be vigorously explored throughout this seminar.

Points of discussion pertaining to the merits of this particular FIDIC rule - range from the Engineer's (right) to potentially "Omit Works", over into the Main Contractors potential Loss of Profits, and as well whether or not the Main Contractor/Sub-contractor can be allowed under FIDIC protocols to reclaim lost work time when Works are suddenly changed or removed.

Attendees can expect to learn these answers and also what of the latest UAE Law decisions and Federal regulations that have recently been made with regards to FIDIC's Sub-Clause 13.1 - "Right to Vary".  Also, attendees will learn about the precise practical implications for both the Employer and the Main Contractor when sudden and unexpected design changes occur.

3FOLD Education Centre continually seeks to host relevant industry topics which will empower companies and individuals alike with the latest construction industries publicised findings which may effect the decisions and performances of both parties.  Please come visit our discussion and add to the robust debate adjoining this topic and others.
