  Fees:

 Trail Horse Clinic Workshops $75.00 per rider per workshop session. (offering 9 sessions to select from)

 Obstacle Challenge Course Class  Sunday $35.00  pre-registered $40.00 each at the door.  If competing only we ask that  you arrive after 11 am on Saturday.  (last workshop ends at 11am)

Office fee $5.00 per competitor

 RV Hookups (wtr/elec)-$30.00 per night

Stalls- $30.00 per night  

Shavings-(per bag) $7.00     

Primitive Camping with horse @ trailer $15.00 per night  Primitive Camping with horse in stall $10.00 per night

Haul in Fee $10.00 (if not using stall or camping on site)

Barn Social Meet & Greet Monday at 7pm

Barn Party Potluck Dinner on Saturday at 7pm

Bar-b-que dinner provided by PPE on Thursday night at 7pm 

Campfire socials each night at 8pm

  Plenty of room for portable pens & primitive camping.

Tuesday - Saturday 9 Trail Horse Workshops  

 

  Tuesday

  9:00 am-11:00am  Way More Than Round Penning Workshop-Trail Horse Ground Skills & Liberty  will focus on building respect on the ground, managing tools and liberty skills. You will use these liberty skills in catching your horse and handling them in the pasture, stall and much more.

   1:00 pm-3:00 pm Hit the Dusty Trail Workshop- Preparing your horse for the trail, how to handle situations when the occur. Encouraging curiosity & looking at situations from your horses point of view.

 Wednesday   

9am-11am Hobble with no bobbles Workshop- Teaching your horse to hobble.  Easy simple strategies to prepare your horse for hobbling.  Also great aid in helping your horse if they are ever hung up in a fence or vines. 

1:00-3:00 pm  Literally Lateral Workshop- Everything is going sideways in this workshop.  Side passing & lateral exercises. 

 Thursday

9:00 am-11:00 am Whoa, Go, Whoa Go Workshop- Speed control  for the trail horse and teaching your horse to rate their speed.  Developing & improving your stop. 

1:00 pm-3:00 pm There will Always be Ups & Downs Workshop-This unique  workshop is going to use a special course to work on maintaining control on hills.  Learn how to navigate hills with your horse safely and with imagination.  

Friday

9:00 am-11:00 am Back Tracking Workshop- All about backing up, backing around,  backing down, backing through and even backing over objects.  

1:00 pm-3:00pm Trail Horses Wet & Wild Workshop- Water Obstacle workshop with multiple water obstacle challenges to work with inclucing streams, creeks and water complex.  

Saturday

9am-11am Trail Horse Dressage Workshop-Develop quality of movement & gaits through collection.  Refinement skills for the trail rider. 

  6:00 pm Special Demonstration for all partitipants playing the "Catch Me Game" 

    

PARTICIPATION - Pre-Registration is required. Contact PPE to register.  Please do not bring a horse that has never been outside an arena or show ring. Horses must have had at least some trail experience prior to the Clinic.   

     


Sunday at  10:00 am- 

 The Trail Horse Challenge Competition

 Trail Horse Class:  Prizes/Awards 1st -5th place All Breeds.  Merits available for AQHA horses.

  1.*Trail Obstacle Challenge Course  ( 6-13 judged obstacles in a natural setting)  

*Adult & Youth Divisions3 Levels in each division: Training, Intermediate & Masters  *(AQHA Division, All Breed Division seperate for this class only)

 Level 1 -Training Level: This is considered a new partnership. The rider and horse may not have established trust or are unsure about each member's ability to negotiate simple obstacles.  Obstacles should be easy to explain to the team: basic maneuver or technique needed to complete the obstacle.

Level 2-Intermediate Level: This is considered an established Partnership. The rider and Horse are familiar with one another, exhibit trust when negotiating obsacles are conditioned to ride a longer and or slightly more difficult course. 

Level 3-Masters Level:  This is considered a Partnership where Horse and rider have established trust, can negotiate difficult obstacles and are conditioned for a longer and or more challenging course.
