Micromessaging Workshop
The National Alliance for Partnerships in Equity (NAPE) will be conducting a workshop on Micromessaging at Foothill College on September 13 – 15 from 8:30am to 3pm each day. This workshop will provide information and opportunities to actively engage with the material. Each day will cover a different set of topics including:
Day 1: cultural stereotypes, implicit bias, and micromessaging
Day 2: self-efficacy, growth mindset, stereotype threat, and attribution theory
Day 3: multicultural competency, equitable learning environments, and culturally responsive pedagogies
Optionally, participants wanting to explore the topics after the workshop will have the opportunity to join a Local Collaborative Team and work on an Action Research project throughout the academic year.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
