Basics of Grant Writing

Along with effective funder cultivation and stewardship, grant-writing is one of the most critical skills that anyone who is serious about fundraising should possess.  A proposal that is coherent, well-organized and displays a well-developed and efficient program design increases chances of funding and success significantly.

This workshop, offered by SCORE in partnership with Forging Alliances will focus on three critical components of the grant-writing process.

  • Cultivating donor relationships
  • Developing winning grant proposals
  • Developing effective program budgets

Featured Speaker: Alexander Easdale is Principal of Forging Alliances. Previously, he was Associate Campus Director of Ana G. Mendez University System - South Florida Campus and before that Foundations Director at the Democracia USA project of National Council of La Raza. In the past he has been responsible for institutional donor portfolio, supporting major donor fundraising, and leading fundraising.  In his varied roles and as a consultant, Alexander has raised more than $12 million for multiple initiatives and causes.

Fee: $32 for online pre-registration; $42 at the door.
Veterans Must present their voucher before attending the workshop.
