Dr. Will Mars, Ph.D. is the founder and president of Endurica LLC, the international leader in solutions at the intersection of engineering, elastomers and durability. He is the author of the Endurica fatigue solver, which is the core algorithm used in Dassault Systemes’ software product fe-safe/RubberTM. Dr. Mars has received several awards for his scientific contributions and innovations, including the 2007 Sparks Thomas award of ACS Rubber Division, and the 1999 Henry Fuchs award of SAE Fatigue Design & Evaluation committee.  Dr. Mars is the editor of the journal Rubber Chemistry & Technology, and a past editor of Tire Science & Technology.  His contributions span a topic range including material characterization, product evaluation, finite element modeling, fracture mechanics and fatigue life prediction methods.  He has more than 25 years’ experience in the rubber industry.  Dr. Mars earned his Honors BSME with Polymer Specialization at the University of Akron, and his MS and Ph.D. degrees at the University of Toledo.  

Dr. Arindam Chakraborty, Ph.D. has over ten years of combined industry and academic experience related to the field of solid mechanics, stress analysis, fatigue & fractures, and stochastic modeling. He has been involved with structural integrity and component flaw evaluation (ECA and FEA based fracture assessment), FFS, optimization and reliability, material degradation evaluation, and nonlinear FEA analysis in Abaqus throughout his professional life.
