Human Resoures Representative Certificate Program

Carson City 

This five-session program provides human resources representatives with the knowledge and resources to help reduce employment liability through effective HR management. By the end of the program, participants will be able to:

  • Recognize the differing and interrelating HR roles and functions.
  • Interpret and enforce well-written personnel policies.
  • Write comprehensive and legally-compliant job descriptions.
  • Ensure employee complaints are investigated, regardless of level of complaint.
  • Know employer legal obligations under federal laws and related Nevada statutes.
  • Adhere to internal recruitment and selection processes.
  • Oversee organizational performance management program.
  • Ensure discipline and termination actions are defensible.

Participants will receive a comprehensive training manual that can be used as a reference after the course.
