We are overjoyed to announce the return of Kate Shela to Olympia to offer a grand and powerful New Years 5Rhythms event!

The cusp of the New Year, when we let go of the old and open to the new, is a time of great potential. In Alchemy we will use that potential to catalyze our innate capacity for transmuting challenging and painful life experience into empowerment. We will make of our dances a prayer and process for turning our personal shit into gold, and global shit into a compost that nurtures a vibrant and sustainable future.

Over this 4-day gathering we will use the ending of one year and the beginning of another to assimilate the lessons, and celebrate the acheivements, of 2017 into an ongoing sustainable power power that will nourish us.

This will be a deep dance dive filled with revelation and jubiliation. It includes a fabulous New Years Eve celebration and ritual with non-alcoholic bubbly and light hors d'oeuvres.

Kate Shela 
Kate is a dynamic shapeshifter and healer known for her enormous passion and a vulnerable sense of the intimate and an ability to create community and tribe. Kate possesses a bold improvisational style and a passionate sense of humor that enables magic to ooze into the everyday moments.

She is a senior instructor within The 5Rhythms founded by the late Gabrielle Roth with whom she has been closely associated since 1992. She is accredited to teach both Waves and Heartbeat.

Kate is a senior teacher within The Path of Pollen shamanic tradition and one of a small handful of individuals authorized to teach seminars and trainings on behalf of the Path of Pollen.

She is a faculty teacher for The Sacred Trust, UK and has worked with adults, teenagers and Rites of Passage, medical students, The Dolphin Connection Experience, nurses, drama students, The Ojai Foundation, gay men's groups, dentists and doctors, Against The Stream, The Polish National Ballet and The British Association of Anger Management. Workshop Registration is $350 / $300 Early Bird by November 27, 2017. Click on the link at the bottom of this page to register now. Please note that to receive the Early Bird rate payment must be completed by Nov 27 or full rate will be applied.

Location
Eagles Ballroom, 805 4th Ave. E. Olympia WA 98506. The Eagles Ballroom is located on the east side of dowtown Olympia.

Visiting Olympia
If you are joining us from out-of town, Welcome! To start, we strongly suggest you make your travel plans as soon as possible. If you are flying in, you will want to arrive at Seattle International Aiport (SEA). Olympia is about an hour drive south from there. There are many wonderful lodging choices in Olympia. Click Here to go directly to the Accomodations Page of the OlyWaves website. Many of the lodgings listed, as well as many fine restaurants, are within walking distance of the Eagles Hall. Another option, that is available on a first-come basis, is to stay with a local host-dancer. We do ask guests to share some monetary love with their local hosts as a way of saying thanks.
