Our introduction session to AssetBook outlines the functions to get you started identifying potential new clients, acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, trades, and farm-in opportunities. AssetBook Web is a user-friendly, powerful research tool which allows you to quickly compile and view vast quantities of data to gain a full understanding of the oil and gas industry in Western Canada.

In this course you will learn:

High Level Scoping – Researching Competitors

• Search one or multiple companies: Identify companies' BOE/d, land assets, drill history, etc.
• Search one or multiple fields: Identify companies with production and land assets
• Search custom area: Identify top producers and research your competitors

Corporate/Property Acquisitions and Mergers

• Search by field or region: Identify potential acquisition targets or merger opportunities
• Search by custom area: Identify potential acquisition targets or merger opportunities in your core area
• Merge companies: Evaluate a merger/acquisition opportunity based on combined assets

Property Divestitures

• Search by field or region: Identify companies with a potential interest in your non-core assets
• Search by custom area: Identify companies with a potential interest in assets in your non-core area

Identify Companies by Custom Criteria

• Identify companies meeting specific criteria (BOE/d, public vs. private companies, high operatorship, undeveloped land acreage, etc.)
