An Entrepreneur's Guide To Credit & Money Workshop

This specific workshop addresses the top concern of entrepreneurs – accessing capital to start or grow a business - while also serving as an introduction to a full educational curriculum on credit and money.  Ninety percent of entrepreneurs report that access to business credit and funding is their #1 limitation from starting and growing small businesses.  Our economic development-based, non-profit organization provides a solution to that program.

At this workshop event you will:

• Become familiar with the full Money Smart for Small Business (MSSB) series addressing a wide variety of practical topics for starting and managing a business.

• Increase understanding on how to rapidly improve personal credit without the use of a credit card.

• Understand how business credit is built and how to access a minimum of $100,000 in business credit and funding.

• Recognize the practicality of attracting investor-based capital and how to do it.

• Learn about the free, grant-funded Capital Acquisition Plan available to assist eligible small businesses in creating a personalized road map for accessing funding.

• Get acquainted with additional resources available to assist in starting and growing a business including free mentoring from SCORE.

All current or prospective business owners wanting or needing additional capital should attend.

This workshop was developed jointly by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and are taught by the Business Credit Literacy Initiative (BCLI).
