Silver Comet Cycles, 4342 Floyd Rd., Mableton, GA2017 GAITE Bicycle Safety Ride
The GAITE Safety Committee will host the first of many GAITE Bicycle Outreach Events. The safety presentation and ride start will take place at Silver Comet Cycles with registration opening at 8:00 am. The event will begin promptly at 8:30 am with a safety presentation given by Nedra Deadwyler, a League Certified Instructor with the League of American Bicyclists. Following the presentation, all attendees will be encouraged to participate in a bicycle ride along the Silver Comet Trail. There will be Ride Leaders in attendance to help folks get accustomed to their bikes and to lead groups of varying skill levels along the trail. This is an
open event for riders of all ages and abilities so please feel free to bring the family and enjoy a morning in the saddle!

Bike Rentals: Silver Comet Cycles (SCC) will have LIMITED bicycles for rent for our event. They will have recreational bicycles (comfort and fitness hybrids) as well as carbon fiber (men's and women's) bicycles to rent. Please contact SCC directly at (678) 945-6084 in order to reserve your bike today! SCC will open at 9 am the day of the event so all riders renting a bicycle will be able to pick-up after the safety presentation.
Registration Cost: The event is FREE! We please ask that you register below so that we can be sure to provide enough water and snacks for the event.
What to Bring: Please don't forget to bring your bicycle, helmet, water, and any other riding gear you desire. You will NOT be able to participate if you are not wearing a helmet at the event.
