SBIR/STTR Phase I Proposal Development Strategies with Jim Greenwood

  • This workshop begins with a strong overview of the SBIR (Small Business Innovation Research) and STTR (Small Business Technology Transfer Research) Programs.
  • It continues with a discussion of the SBIR/STTR Reauthorization, with an emphasis on the most important changes to the programs that you need to know about.
  • It will then transition into an extended presentation on a simple but comprehensive four-step process for developing a credible and competitive Phase I proposal. That process starts with strategy, and the activities and questions that should be considered before the proposal is written. It continues with drafting, the proposal, focusing on what to emphasize in the text. The process continues with review, or getting a third party to go over the proposal before it is submitted, and debrief, which is learning from the feedback available once the agency has decided whether to fund the proposal.

Registrations received after August 27 may receive the workbook after the event.
