Come with us to Easton for a hike around your Cooley-Jericho Community Forest (CJCF). Spectacularly beautiful and rugged, with stunning views, the CJCF encompasses 840-acres in the northwest corner of Easton, sharing boundaries with Sugar Hill and Landaff. Grafton County's Forester Jim Frohn will join us to talk a bit about the history of forestry and timber management in NH as well as share some observations of the forest through the lens of a forester. ACT's Outreach & Member Services Director Gal Potashnick and some wonderful ACT volunteers will be leading this hike.

The summer nature walks are open to hikers of all ages and abilities, but please be aware that this CJCF has some considerable elevation gain and so may be more of a challenge than our usual hikes. We will be taking a ~2.5 mile loop from the yellow to the blue trail, reference map available here. To keep the experience great for everyone we are only able to take 15 participants on this hike, there still are plenty of spots available so please pre-register to help us gauge how many participants will be joining us. If there is enough interest we may add another trip here later this summer or early fall so don't hesitate to let us know if you're interested.  As always kids are encouraged to come along and dogs are always welcome!
