Turkey: A Year after the July 15 Coup Attempt

Last year, on July 15, 2016, Turkey underwent an attempted coup against its democratically elected government. The coup was thwarted by Turkish citizens, who poured onto the streets in support of Turkish democracy. The failed coup attempt has impacted Turkish domestic and foreign policy in an unprecedented manner. The reverberations of the July 15 coup attempt are still being felt inside the country and beyond.

The SETA Foundation at Washington D.C. invites you to a conference on "Turkey: A Year after the July 15 Coup Attempt" to discuss the implications of the coup attempt as they continue to affect Turkey as well as its foreign policy and relations with the U.S.
