Hyundai PowerTech Plant Tour - September 13 - West Point

We are pleased to provide unique manufacturing plant tours of industry leaders throughout the state.   By sharing solutions to common challenges and identifying best practices, we are building a stronger manufacturing community in Georgia.  

Hyundai Powertech America is an auto parts manufacturer specializing in automotive transmissions for Hyundai and KIA; they offer a full product line of transmissions designed for compact to full-size cars. Their 285,078 sq. ft. production facility has capitalized on maximizing efficiency and productivity through the diligent application of key advanced manufacturing techniques such as; industrial robotics, lean management, advanced logistics, as well as a commitment to eco-friendly production process. They have recently redesigned their production process through a massive retooling project  to strategically prepare them for a more competitive future in the automatic transmission industry. Powertech has established state-of-the-art quality and environment management systems and has obtained the ISO/TS 16949 & ISO 14001 certificates.
