Please join us for the 2017 Michigan Critical Access Hospital conference held on November 9-10, 2017 at Shanty Creek Resorts, Lakeview Hotel and Conference Center in Bellaire, MI. 

Attendees of the conference will be representing the 36 Critical Access Hospitals in Michigan. The conference sessions will feature a variety of informative topics such as: The Rural Hospital Landscape: Current Trends and Policy, Health Law Update, and Federal Office of Rural Health Policy Update. 

Who's invited?
The conference is designed to be of interest to CEOs, CFOs, Quality Managers, and other leadership roles in Critical Access Hospitals.  

• THREE registration fees per Critical Access Hospital will be funded by MCRH (e.g. CEO, CFO, Quality Network members)
• A $100.00 fee will be charged to the hospital for any additional registrants

Exhibit Area
The exhibit area offers participants the opportunity to meet a variety of vendors displaying health care industry products and services. The continental breakfast and breaks will be held in the exhibit area to facilitate easy conversation and a relaxed atmosphere for visiting with sponsors and friends. Lodging
All participants are to make their own hotel arrangements. You are encouraged to make reservations early since availability of rooms is limited.

• Three (3) Standard guest rooms (2 beds) will be funded by MCRH with a lodging rate of $85.00. If you wish to reserve a studio parlor room (king) the rate is $105.00. You will be invoiced by MCRH for the difference ($20.00) after the conference.

Cancellation & Refunds
All cancellations must be in written format and received by Friday, October 20, 2017. A cancellation fee of $50.00 will be deducted from each refund. All refunds will be processed after the conference. Should a guest need to cancel hotel reservations, please contact Shanty Creek Resorts by November 4th. 

Cash Bar &  Wine Table Event
A cash bar along with a Wine Table event  will occur on Thursday, November 9, 2017 from 5:15 - 6:15 pm. Choose a red ribbon for red wine or a white ribbon for white wine. Wine bottles will be available for $20 per bottle. There will be a range of Michigan wines in value of  $15 - $50 per bottle. This event will also allow all participants to visit with exhibitors and network with other attendees at the conference. 

All proceeds collected during the Michigan Wine Table event will benefit students of rural areas to attend the OsteoCHAMPS Program at Michigan State University. This is a summer pre-college enrichment program for 11th and 12th grade high school students in Michigan who are interested in health care as their profession of choice in college. Click here to learn additional information about the OsteoCHAMPS Program.

Dinner will be on your own once the Cash Bar and Wine Table Event has concluded. There will be a shuttle service at the hotel for dining transportation if needed from 5:00pm-11:00pm. 

Nursing Continuing Education Contact Hours
We will be offering nursing continuing education at this conference again this year. We are working on the exact number of hours to be approved for credits with MSU College of Nursing. As soon as this is known it will be posted and sent out to all participants. Criteria for successful completion include sign in at registration including the provision of an email address, verification of attendance at specific sessions and submission of a completed evaluation form.

Michigan State University College of Nursing (OH-294, 08/01/18) is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Ohio Nurses Association (OBN-001-91), an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. 

Social Work Continuing Education Contact Hours
We will be offering social work continuing education at this conference again this year. We are working on the exact number of hours to be approved for credits with the Michigan Social Work Continuing Education Collaborative. As soon as this is known it will be posted and sent out to all participants. Criteria for successful completion include sign in at registration (including the provision of an email address), verification of attendance at specific sessions and submission of a completed evaluation form.
