Preaching is a central and constant aspect to what we do as clergy. Set aside some time to re-excite and re-invigorate our preaching throughout the diocese with Pastor Jerry Larson’s Speaking the Word Freely, which has been taught across the country. After his time with us, Jerry will be working with our Waiolaihui‘ia students over the weekend.

Jerome “Jerry” Larson, D. Min. was a parish pastor for 39 years. He retired in 2004 from Calvary Lutheran, Edina, MN where he continues to serve as pastor emeritus. He has been teaching "Speaking the Word Freely" for the last 15 years at retreat centers and at Luther Seminary in Minnesota through the Kairos program. He is also the author of Speaking the Word Freely - Writing with Purpose, Preaching with Power.
