Short Biographies of Featured Speaker:
Michael Casey, ACI, MCI, is principal with Michael Casey & Associates, a national A.M. Best-recommended consulting firm based in San Diego. Mike is past president of the Califronia Real Estate Inspection Assocaition (CREIA - 1994/1995) and of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI - 2002). Mike is multi-code certified by the ICC and IAPMO. He is a licensed general, plumbing, and mechanical contractor in several states and a Virginia Certified Home Inspector. Besides co-authoring several books in the CodeCheck series and author of the Code History Master booklet and app, Michael has authored numerous other books, taught home and buidling inspection nation-wide and has an expert witness and claims consulting practice throughout North America since 1987. Mike has inspected over 10,000 building in his over 30-year career in the inspection profession.

Cory Myron began his career in the concrete/foundation industry at 19 years of age working for an industrial construction company building wastewater treatment plants, juvenile fish monitoring facilities and other large-scale concrete projects in Washington and Oregon. He learned every facet of the industry by starting as a laborer and working his way up to concrete superintendent. Over the years, Cory worked closely with structural and geotechnical engineers on both commerceal and residentail projects overcoming obstacles or challenges to assure the projects ran smoothly. He is familiar with all kinds of concrete forming systems such as 3/4-inch handset, 1 1/8-inch handset, Efco, Simmons, and gang forms. From 2000-2009, he operated his own foundation company where he excavated, tied all resteel, then poured custom foundations, retaining walls, post-tension slab structures, grade beams, and light commercial building slabs. For the last eight years, Cory has worked in foundation repair, inspecting roughly 700 homes a year with various foundation issues. Following a through inspection, he presents a design solution to homeowners and remains active in the project as crews execute the repair.
Jeff Kyger, owner of Northwest Log Home Care, formed in 2005. Mr. Kyger specializes in log home restoration including chinking, staining, rot repair, insect eradication, finish & stain removal, pressure washing, chemical stripping, and dry media blasting. Jeff formed his company after recognizing a need to cater to the unique requiremnets of protection and beautification of log homes. He has restored over 350 log homes along the west coast and was invited to work in Russia. Prior to forming his own company, Jeff worked for Perma-Chink Systems, Redmond.

Charles Buell began his design/builder career after graduation from SUNY Oswego, NY. He taught carpentry in his spare time. Charlie continues to teach home inspection courses at Bellingham Technical College. He is a licensed home inspector in Washington state, a licensed structural pest inspector, and ASHI Certified Inspector. Charlie currently serves on the Washington State Home Inspector Licensing Advisory Board and on the ASHI National Technical Review Committee.
Dylan Chalk is the owner of Dylan Chalk House Talk real estate school, the co-founder of ScribeWare LLC report writing software, www.getscribeware.com, the owner of Orca Inspection Services LLC and the author of The Confident House Hunter, Cedar Fort Press 2016. Dylan is a Washington State licensed home inspector, a structual pest inspector, and a licensed real estate clock-hour instructor. Dylan is an ASHI Certified Inspector and now serves as Vice-President of the local ASHI Western Washington chapter. He has performed more than 5,500 home inspections.
