This interactive two-day workshop will allow participants to learn more about the Denver Public Schools CareerConnect model and how you can implement elements in your school district or organization. CareerConnect is a pathway of school- and work-based experiential learning opportunities for students, preparing them for life and work. In particular, you will learn more about the CareerResidency Youth Apprenticeship Program, the capstone experience of CareerConnect, deployed in partnership with CareerWise Colorado. Adapted from the proven Swiss model, this new system provides high school students with apprenticeship opportunities and industry certifications while they pursue high school diplomas and earn college credits.
