The Power of Design Thinking
to Transform All Institutions

WNG Chairman's Forum

Thursday, July 27, 2017
4:00 PM - 6:15 PM

Please join the Washington Network Group for our next WNG Chairman's Forum with Andres Jordan of Factor6 Innovation Strategies and Eric Dulkeith of Deutsche Telekom's consulting arm, Detecon Innovation Institute, who will discuss with us "The Power of Design Thinking to Transform All Institutions." Welcoming remarks by Kate Kirkpatrick, a principal and studio director in Gensler's Washington, DC office.

About this Session
:

"Design Thinking is no longer just for products. Executives are using this approach to devise strategy and manage change." - Harvard Business Review, September 2015.

Are you concerned about winning the innovation game and the digital transformation game? Design thinking may be the best answer.

Design Thinking (DT), a decades-old framework, is going mainstream. It is now being touted as the ultimate solution for driving innovation into the fast-paced digital age. At the same time, we are also learning that its impact on a company can be much greater than anticipated. Design Thinking goes beyond product development. It can be the seed for cultural transformations.

Learn how the CEO of Pepsi transformed the entire company into a powerhouse by using Design Thinking. Hear how the Veteran's Administration is using Design Thinking to improve services to veterans. See how SAP is leveraging Design Thinking to redefine their relationships with customers and increase business. Be amazed how a simple observation transformed the pizza cutter for OXO.

Our speakers are innovation experts that have worked with companies and institutions of all sizes and will share their lessons learned and practical advice on how to get started on the Design Thinking journey.
