EMDR Therapy Training: Rollins 

Learn EMDR Therapy, the full EMDRIA approved basic course including lecture, practicums and 10 hours of consultation, in Winter Park, FL January19-21, 2018 for part 1 and March 9-11, 2018 for part 2. Have fun, network with other local therapists and expand your capacity to implement EMDR therapy for a wide range of clinical issues.

Goal of the EMDR Therapy Basic Training

This experiential training will familiarize partcipants with a broad spectrum of EMDR therapy applications sufficient for comfortable and efficent use with a ride range of patients and situations. Special attention will be given to the therapeutic needs of clients.

EMDRIA Required EMDR Therapy Training material

• A training manual will be provided to each participant at the training.
• In addition, you are strongly encouraged to read "Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing: Basic Principles, Protocols, and Procedures, 3rd  Edition by Francine Shapiro (Guilford Press)

Certificate of Completion of the full Basic Course in EMDR Therapy.

• Completion of both 3 day weekend trainings on January 19-21, 2018 and March 9-11, 2018.
• 10 hours of consultation provided by the EMDRIA Approved Consultant participants schedule with at thefirst 3 day training.

Schedule

• 2-3 day trainings. 
• Registration begins at 8:00am 
• The course begins at 8:30am and ends at 5:00pm.
• Morning will include lecture, video demonstrations and experiential exercises.
• Lunch will be 12-1, on your own.
• The afternoon will consist of structured practice exercises guiding participants through a step by step building process of the 8 phase model of EMDR Therapy. 

Steps to registration and preparation for the training to make the most of your learning journey.

1. Read and sign the Participant Agreement to best understand the training experience. This document also indicates you give consent to participate in the exercises and understand the material you will be exposed too. The Participant Agreement Form will outline the training expierence and assist the participant in preparing themselves for the training. All participants must print and complete The Participant Agreement form and bring with them to the training or email it to rdmorrow17@gmail.com prior to the training.
2. Graduate Students and Registered Interns are required to have their supervisor complete the Supervisor Agreement form. Mastering EMDR Therapy requires practice. The opportunity to immediately immerse yourself in practicing EMDR helps build mastery. Without practice, mastery can not be achieved.  Supervisors are informed of the intern's intention to become EMDR Therapy trained and hoping to implement EMDR Therapy into their clinical practice with clients.
3. Purchase a copy of Eye Movement and Desensitization and Reprocessing: Basic Principles, Protocols and Procedures.
4. Ensure your schedule will allow you to fully participate in both weekends.
5. Wear comfortable business attire and bring layers.
6. Due to chemical sensitivites, you are encouraged to not wear perfumes.
7. Feel free to bring your own lunch and refreshments for the day. Water and coffee will be provided. 

EMDR Therapy Basic Course Completion Certificate

• The EMDR Therapy Basic Course Completion requires that the training participant attend both weekends in full, participate in the lecture and practicum activities and the 10 hours of consultation.
• Your total fee is for all parts (lecture, practicum and consultation).
• Without doing each of these steps, a course completion can not be granted.
• Confirmed attendance of the full part 1 and part 2.
• Confirmed attendance for the 10 hours of consultation (including homework and evaluations).

FL 491 CEUs

• 20 CEUS will be issued for part 1 and 20 hours for part 2 and is included in the cost of the training and provided by Creative Therapy Connections  #50-461 exp. 3/3/19.
• Credit hours will not be provided to participants that cancel, or partially attend.

EMDR Therapy Basic Course Completion and EMDRIA Certified Therapist are different levels of mastery.

EMDR Therapy Basic Course completion is the first step towards becoming EMDRIA Certified in EMDR Therapy. The certification process requires completion of an EMDRIA approved Basic Training program (not all EMDR trainings are EMDRIA approved), 20 hours of consultation of your EMDR Therapy with an EMDRIA Consultant and 50 hours of EMDR Therapy. Refund Policy

• Fees are refundable until 2 weeks before the beginning of the training for part 1 or part 2. After that, no refunds will be given which includes the training component and the hours of consultation associated with that part.
• The refund will be returned within one week of the request, minus a credit card processing fee, if a credit card was used for the payment. This fee is based on the amount initially charge.

Retake the Course

EMDR therapists who have previously completed a training offered by an EMDRIA accredited provider may retake the course at half price. This does not include the 10 hours of consultation.
