About the Community:

Tavara Ridge features homes in Plantation, Santa Barbara, and California Ranch architectural styles. The two-story, single family homes with up to 4 bedrooms were designed around a centrally located great room with functional areas for cooking, dining, and entertaining. Tavara Ridge was once home to the Stevenson School which CalAtlantic Homes purchased from the San Diego Unified school district. The legacy of the Stevenson School lives on in some of the educational materials and infrastructure like desks which have found a new home next door at Maria Montessori. CalAtlantic Homes gave a portion of its property for the benefit of the Maria Montessori school and its students.

Entertainment:

Chris Laxamana is a musician from Long Beach, CA. He is the lead singer and guitarist for the rock/soul trio LAXI, whose debut record will be released this year. He is also the producer of The Adam Carolla Show and heads production for many other shows. Additionally, Chris created and hosts Resume and is one of the lead voices in the audio drama Kevin's Cryptids.

To visit from I-5, exit Balboa Avenue and head east; turn left on Clairemont Drive; left on Clairemont Mesa Blvd.; left on Pocahontas Ave. From CA-52 west, take exit 1B for Regents Rd. and turn left; continue on Clairemont Mesa Blvd.; turn right on Pocahontas Ave. Tavara Ridge is located a few blocks down on the right.
