Note: 
  • Doors open at 8:00 am for on-site registrations.  On-site registration closes at 8:30 am.  The first round starts at 9:00 am.
  • Four (4) sections - K-2, K-5, K- 8, Open Quads.
  • Students in grades K-8 who wish to play in Open Quads must have a 1300+ rating.
  • Adults are welcome to play in the Open Quads section.

1st Phoenix Cup Chess Tournament 

For K-2, K-5, K-8, 4-SS, G/30, d5, For Open Quads, G/45, d5, 3-SS, USCF rated,  Please bring your own chess set & chess clock!

  • Our first "Phoenix Cup Chess Tournament" for the 2017 Summer. 
  • Special Top Girl trophy in each section of K-8, K-5, K-2 to encourage more chess girls!
  • Special Top K-1 trophy to top player & top girl, and medals to all K-1 players to encourage young beginners. 
  • Trophies to top 3 players in each section, medals to all players won 2.5 points, Cash prize for Open Quads, $50 for each Quad winner. 
  • Register ASAP, registration may be close earlier if all seats full. 
  • Use rising grade to choose section.

  • Pre-registration closes on Thursday, July 20, 2017.  
  • The pre-registration fee through Tuesday, July 18, 2017 is $22.00 per chess player.
  • The pre-registration fee for July 19~July 20, 2017 is $27.00 per chess player.
  • On-site registrations fee is $32 per chess player,  will close at 8:30 am on Saturday, July 22, 2017.
