Breakfast Series | Dr. John Stark; Washington Stormwater Center 

Dr. John Stark is the Director of the Washington Stormwater Center in Puyallup, Washington. He is also a full professor and conducts research in ecotoxicology at Washington State University (WSU) in Puyallup. Dr. Stark's research interests focus on protection of endangered species and ecological risk assessment of pollutants with particular emphasis on salmon and aquatic invertebrates. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed papers in scientific journals, numerous book chapters and a recent book on ecological risk assessment entitled “Demographic Toxicity: Methods in Ecological Risk Assessment”. He is also a member of the Puget Sound Partnership Science Panel.

Dr. Stark earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from Syracuse University, a bachelor’s degree in forest biology from SUNY Syracuse, a master’s degree in entomology from Louisiana State University and a Ph.D. in toxicology from the University of Hawaii.
