Welcome Small Business Owners, this is an opportunity to showcase your products and/or services to federal government employees in a secure building that houses over 3,000 people. BIG NCFB is conducting this fundraising expo to support the chapter community efforts. This opportunity will allow you to increase your exposure and visibiilty! 

The Process and Your Action 

Due to space limitations, we are only authorized 13 slots for the show. Below is the process/steps for the Business Expo: 

1. August 28th - September 1st- Registration Open Period and Deadline date to sumbit a Intreset Registration by clicking the "Registration" link to the left of this page. - This will notify us that you are interested in partipating in this event and avaible.  

2. September 5th  - We will send out a email blast to all registered partipants of the selections and will also be posted on this event page.  

3. September 8th  - Deadline date to provide your $25 donation to finalize and secure your table.  Donation will go towards your final donation submission at the end of the show.  If your donation of $25 is not received by the deadline date, you forfeit your table.  

4. Upon your donation you will receive further detail information regarding the show.  However the majority of the information is on this page.  

5. Day of the Show! - Show up and Showcase your product/services in a professional manner.  

 

Vendor Responsibilities: 

 Table Presentation Criteria:

1. Banquet Tablecloth - cover ENTIRE table, including the legs of the table.  

2. Professional and Organized Set-up

3. Advertisement Contact Information displayed

4. No bins, boxes or other distracting items in front of or beside the vending table 

Update! Security and Building Entrance - Security will be enforced and there will be absolutely no walking in the building without an escort.  If you choose to not follow the policy we will remove you from our vendor email listing. 

Internal Escort & Set-up - 8AM - 8:45AM

  • Any vendor reporting to the site after 9AM will forfeit their table. 
  • If a vendor does a "NO SHOW/NO CALL" you will be on the nonselction listing for months or possibly removed from the email listing for a year.   

Breakdown & External Escort - 2PM - 2:45PM - 

All vendors must be escorted out of the building no later than 3PM. 

 This is a federal government building with strict security guidelines and procedures for entering, exiting and navigating through the building. At all times please ensure you have all vending information and personal identification present. There will be no exception for early arrival or late exiting of the building.  Allow yourself an estimate of 45 minutes for security procedures and transfer of your items to the lobby vending area.  

Cancellation Policy:  In the event that you must cancel, please contact us within 48 hours prior to the vendor show date.

 

BIG Responsibilities

Provide one banquet 6'  rectangle table and two chairs for this event.

If you would like to bring one additional table, prior notification and approval is required.  WIFI - at this time we do not have WiFi access for vendors.  Please come prepared. 

Parking will be provided in our building garage. An authorized list for parking will be prepared and submitted to security personnel for parking in the garage.    

Metro:  If the garage is full, you will be allowed to park at the metro.  The building is a short walk directly across the street.  

Building Entrance  Upon participation approval your name will be added to the Access Security Building Listing.  You may use one of the two entrances below, but please keep in mind the walking distance from each building: 

Building A - Visitors Entrance IF you are parking at the METRO.

Building D - Garage Parking and Visitors Entrance

Loading Dock - Building A - This entrance must be used to drop off and pick up all bulk items.  Vendors who are on the Access Security Listing are allowed to drop off your items, park at Building D and then return to pick up items at the loading dock. 

 

Cost to Participate

BIG is a Non-Profit, 501 (c) 3.  We will provide donation recommendation information by contacting Nikki Ashe or Martha Shephard. 

BIG Members - 20% of total profits at the end of the show. (This will also include your $25 donation deposit)

NON-BIG Members - 25% of total profits at the end of the show. (This will also include your $25 donation deposit)
