Join the Chicago Southland Convention & Visitors Bureau to celebrate The Power of Tourism with keynote speaker David Whitaker.

David Whitaker, President and CEO of Choose Chicago, will talk about the strength of tourism on the regional, state and national level. 

In fiscal year 2017, over 1.27 Million hotel room nights were sold in the Chicago Southland, the Bureau unveiled a redesigned website, welcomed new attractions including, HITS Balmoral Park and generated a record 100 Million earned media impressions.

In 2016, domestic and international travelers directly spent nearly $35 Billion in Illinois generating $2.6 Billion in tax revenue. The dollars brought in by visitors help fuel local businesses, create jobs and improve residents’ quality of life.
