Blindness & Deaf-Blindness 101: Overview for DDA Providers at DORS 9-6-17 

This training is targeted to professionals who are supporting individuals who have intellectual and/or developemental disabilities AND who are also blind, visually impaired or have deaf- blindness.

The session will provide participants with the following:

Overview of medical and functional aspects of blindness & deaf-blindness

Overview of psychological aspects of adjustment to blindness & deaf-blindness

Blind and deaf-blind sensitivity

Services that blind, visually impaired, and deaf- blind consumers may need

Local and national resources for providers to utilize
