Congratulations to Robert Lund, last year's winner of the Market Vision Cup Award.
This exclusive event is where CEOs, CFOs, CIOs and Board members of insurers of all types participate in higher-yielding discussions and engaging presentations to cover a range of vital investment issues.
After Tuesday's Welcome Reception/Dinner, The Forum will begin with SAA's highly-regarded Investment Workshop, consisting of Case Study sessions, which allow attendees to collaborate and develop strategies that address situations based on SAA's experiences in working with insurance clients.
Thursday will have a full agenda of panels and presentations. Experts from ClearArc Capital, New England Asset Management, and Standish Mellon will address, "From QE to QT (Quantitative Tightening): Investment Strategies and Asset Classes that Benefit." These highly-regarded managers will discuss various approaches to augment your investment portfolios. Standish Mellon will offer a retrospective look at QE and discuss the current state of monetary policy. NEAM will share their current investment views and potential implications of a reversal in central bank policy. ClearArc Capital will provide an overview of multi-asset strategies insurers should be mindful of in today's environment.
Andrew Edelsberg (Managing Director, Kroll Bond Agency) and Michael Cohen (Principal, Cohen Strategic Consulting) will take part in a panel to discuss the changing demands of Ratings Agencies on Insurer Investments and ERM. Additionally, State Street Global Advisors and Vanguard will participate in "Bond ETFs – Regulatory Changes and Insurer Investments" to discuss regulatory and accounting changes surrounding ETFs. Attendees are invited to ask questions, before and during the panel, directly to the panelists.
While SAA hosts the "Investment Seminar for Gov't Risk Pools" every other year, the next Investment Seminar will be part of this year's agenda and will take place on the final day of the conference. The seminar will consist of a case study, a session focused on what strategies SAA is discussing with our pool clients, and then a free-form discussion period where your Pool's specific concerns can be addressed.
And, of course, we will award our annual Market Vision Cup to the attendee who does the best job of forecasting both the S&P 500 and the 10 Year US Treasury yield.
Register soon as attendance is limited to fifty people, in order to maximize the value of the Forum for attendees. We hope you will be able to join us.
