Social Media: Creating Content with Focus and Precision

Unless your business is already a household name or you have more business than you can handle, chances are you engage in some form of online marketing, whether it’s writing a blog, doing email blasts or being a social media maven.

But according to John Arnott II, president of Content First Marketing, the key to becoming and staying top of mind with your current and future clients is to use digital marketing both effectively and strategically. In his talk, “"Nurture Marketing: How to Take Your Networking to the Next Level,” John will cover:

• Why focusing just on building traffic to your website is misguided
• How to use content – both on and off your website – to attract more website visitors
• Why marketing your business is an ongoing process, not a one-time event

There are tech guys and then there are digital marketing guys, but it’s not often you find one like John Arnott who combines the best of both. After starting, growing and selling three IT services businesses, John established Content First Marketing in 2013 to help small business owners grow and navigate digital marketing so they can nurture prospects into leads, turn leads into opportunities and transform opportunities into new customers.

John had previously been co-founder, partner and Director of Consulting of WaveTwo, LLC, which provided business intelligence, managed it services, healthcare technology and market intelligence systems. After the company’s sale to Konica Minolta Business Solutions, John’s role changed to Director of Sales for Dallas/Fort Worth and National Director of Healthcare Information Systems. Prior to his working for Cirrus, John was CEO of GeoPatient, LLC, which provided leads to physicians and medical spas using a particular laser to emulsify fat. He was also CEO Progressive Database Systems, which specialized in the implementation and operations of Oracle, SQL Server, DB2 and Sybase Enterprise Relational Database systems. PDbS merged with Geniant and was then sold to EMC Systems.

John holds a BBA in Management Information Systems from the University of Texas at Austin.
