Eastvale-Internet & Home Based Business-Sales Use Tax-Aug. 17, 2017

Do you need a seller’s permit or are you simply a qualified purchaser or 6015 retailer? Gain an understanding of sales and use tax as you run your business through Internet web & auction sites, drop-ship, or electronically transmit product. Learn when district tax is applicable to your sales. Discover how to use a resale certificate and how to back-out the tax when you sell items “tax included.” Consignment sales, shipping and handling, it’s all in this informative presentation.

Lance Christiansen is the Information Officer for the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration’s (Formerly Board of Equalization) Riverside office, representing Board Member Diane Harkey and District 4. Lance travels throughout Riverside and San Bernardino Counties speaking to groups of small business owners about the ins and outs of Sales and Use Tax. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree at California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, and now resides in the High Desert town of Apple Valley. Prior to coming to the Department of Tax & Fee, Lance spent over 25 years as a Program Director in professional radio.
