Explore the teachings of Jesus as a path of transformative wisdom, giving special attention to the "unitive" or "nondual" dimensions of the Christian path. Uplift traditional heart-centered Christian contemplative practice and draw insights from two early Christian Wisdom texts that resurfaced in the 20th century: The Gospel of Thomas and The Gospel of Mary Magdalene. Time together will be held in a rhythm of silence, teaching, and simple chanting. Come join in the work of opening our collective heart.
Rev. Matthew Wright, facilitator of this retreat, is an Episcopal priest, writer, and retreat leader working to renew the Christian Wisdom tradition within a wider interspiritual framework. He serves as priest-in-charge at St. Gregory's Episcopal Church in Woodstock, NY and as a teacher for Northeast Wisdom. Matthew lives with his wife, Yanick, alongside the brothers of Holy Cross Monastery in West Park,
