Louisiana COPRI invites you for a presentation and tour of the Center for River Studies (CRS) at The Water Campus in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The CRS houses a state-of-the-art Lower Mississippi River Physical Model (LMRPM) which is one of the largest moving bed physical models in the world. The LMRPM is based on the exact parameters of the river’s physical and kinetic properties, producing a degree of accuracy never before achieved in lower-river physical modeling. Mr. Rudolph Simoneaux III, Manager Engineering Division, Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority (CPRA) and Mr. Clinton Willson, Mike N. Dooley Professor in Civil & Environmental Engineering, Louisiana State University, will be initially presenting on the functions of the CRS followed by a tour of the building.
Due to space constraints at the CRS building, entry will be limited to 40 people who register and pre-pay for the event. Walk-in registrations will not be entertained for this event. Thank you for your continued support. Registration fee for the event is $10.00. Snacks will be provided.
